#5.1 - Email Templates
Creating and Managing Email Templates
Email templates in AudienceSend allow you to save reusable layouts and designs, ensuring consistency in branding, tone, and formatting across all your campaigns.
Templates are especially useful if you're managing newsletters, sequences, or branded updates where the structure remains constant but the content changes.
How to Create an Email Template
- From the main menu, click Create, then select Email Template
- Give your template a Name
- (Optional) Add a Category and assign a Sender
- On the right-hand side, you’ll see a drop-down menu of layout blocks
You can choose from blocks such as:
- Image + Caption
- Image + Long Caption
- Text Only
- Button Sections
Customizing the Template
- Drag and drop your desired layout blocks into the email editor
- To edit content:
- Click the image icon (camera) to upload your own image
- Use the link icon to attach a URL to your image
- Click directly on any text to modify it
- Use the left-side controls to:
- Duplicate blocks
- Reorder content
- Delete or modify sections
HTML Editing (Optional)
If you're comfortable with code or working with a designer:
- Click HTML Editor to switch to code view
- Any edits you make will be reflected immediately in the preview pane on the right
- You can switch back to drag-and-drop mode at any time
Using Tokens (Personalization)
AudienceSend supports tokens that automatically insert dynamic contact data into your template.
Common tokens include:
[fname]
→ First Name
[company]
→ Company Name
[today_date]
→ Current Date
To use tokens:
- Click on Tokens under your template’s name
- Select the token you want and click Add
- Tokens will appear in your content wrapped in brackets — they’ll populate automatically during send
Preview and Test
Before saving your template:
- Click Preview to see how it looks in a browser tab
- Click Send a Test Email Using This Template to email yourself or teammates for review
You can send to multiple addresses by clicking the “+” icon to add recipients
Managing Your Templates
- Go to Manage > Email Templates
- Click the three dots beside any template to:
- Edit
- Duplicate
- Rename
- Delete
Templates can be updated or re-used in any Email Blast or automation flow.
