Using Spintax to Personalize Cold Emails

Spintax helps make every email look unique — without writing dozens of variations manually.

AudienceSend supports Spintax in subject lines and body copy, so you can rotate language automatically and improve deliverability by avoiding duplicate content patterns.

What Is Spintax?

Spintax stands for “spinning syntax.” It’s a way to write multiple versions of a word, phrase, or sentence using a single line of text. When the campaign sends, AudienceSend randomly selects one option for each contact.

Basic Format:


{Option A|Option B|Option C}

Example:


Hi {{first_name}}, I {noticed|saw|read} that {{company}} is growing.

AudienceSend will randomly choose:

“noticed”

“saw”

or “read”

Resulting in a natural-looking variation every time.

How the Spintax Token Generator Works

When composing your message in AudienceSend:

Place your cursor inside the subject or body field

Click the Spintax Token Generator icon (usually a {} symbol)

Enter multiple versions of a word or phrase

Click Insert Token

AudienceSend will automatically format it like:


{hello|hi|hey}
