#7 - Sign-up Forms

Create and Manage Sign-Up Forms

Sign-up forms (also called Opt-In Forms) are embedded forms or pop-ups you can use to collect new contacts directly into AudienceSend. These forms can be used for lead generation, newsletter subscriptions, webinar registrations, or gated content access.

What Is a Sign-Up Form?

A Sign-Up Form is a web-based form that collects user information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Optional custom fields (e.g., phone number, company, etc.)

Once submitted, the data is saved to your AudienceSend contact database and automatically added to a list you choose.

How to Create a Sign-Up Form

  1. Go to the main menu
  1. Click Create → Sign-Up Form
  1. Choose from one of the predefined form templates
  1. Use the editor to customize the form:
      • Add Input Fields like first name, phone number, job title
      • Drag in additional elements like headlines, checkboxes, or descriptions
      • Click on any element to edit the text, style, font, and formatting
  1. Once you've styled the form the way you want, click Next

After the User Signs Up

You can choose what happens when someone submits the form:

  1. Redirect them to a URL
  1. Show a Thank You Message directly on the page

Then configure the form settings:

  • Form Name – This is for your internal use
  • List Selection – Choose which AudienceSend list the new contacts should be added to
  • Opt-In Type:
    • Single Opt-In: The contact enters their info and is subscribed immediately
    • Double Opt-In: The contact must click a confirmation link sent to their email
Important: Double Opt-In is often recommended for compliance and better engagement quality.

Publishing the Form

Once everything is configured:

  1. Click Publish
  1. You’ll be given a URL and/or embed code to place the form on your website

You can also connect the form to autoresponders or automations after publishing.

Managing Existing Sign-Up Forms

To view or edit your existing forms:

  1. Go to Manage → Sign-Up Forms
  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to any form to:
      • Edit
      • Rename
      • Duplicate
      • Delete
